Reflecting on the past year-and-a-half fills us with a profound appreciation for our generous supporters who have made the MVAT Foundation’s work possible.

Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of the Great War (subsequently referred to as World War I).

Heroes Linked Director David Tenenbaum recently appeared on the “Life After the Military” podcast show produced by CharlieMike Vets, a nonprofit sharing inspiring stories about transitioning to civilian life with leading veterans.

For the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Guardians, and Marines who served in Afghanistan over the past 20 years, events this week undoubtably are taking an emotional toll.

Today is Independence Day, the 4th of July, 2021. Please take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by the men and women that have served our country in its times of need and those that are serving right now, including the more than 110,000 U.S. troops currently deployed abroad.

May 31, 2021 is Memorial Day, a federal holiday that many of us will enjoy as a day off from work as part of a long weekend. And weekends are to be enjoyed. This holiday, however, is a day dedicated to honoring those who died in service to our country.
