The challenge

Veterans often struggle to establish meaningful, long-term careers after serving our country, despite possessing valuable leadership and technical skills. That’s because most military transition programs focus on making immediate job placements and fail to provide those who have served with the mentorship, training, or network building they need to navigate the civilian job market.

The solution

Our Heroes Network is a free, user-friendly online social network that connects Heroes— those serving, veterans, their spouses, and Gold Star families—with volunteer Advisors from diverse industries and backgrounds.

Advisors provide Heroes with the mentorship, guidance, and the professional advice they need to launch and navigate successful post-military careers. With guidance from Advisors, Heroes can establish their professional reputations within the Heroes Network. Advisors can also leverage their own professional networks, serving as recommenders and advocates, to help Heroes land competitive, high-level roles.

Component of VIEW

The Heroes Network program is a component of Heroes Linked’s Veterans In Every Workforce® (VIEW) initiative, which empowers veterans with meaningful career opportunities and professional growth after military service. Veterans In Every Workforce® unifies and expands our programmatic efforts to enhance veterans' access to high-quality jobs, career training, and professional development resources.

Through strategic partnerships with employers, professional and trade associations, workforce development programs, and educational institutions, Veterans In Every Workforce® aims to provide veterans with the tools, training, and support necessary to transition into fulfilling civilian careers. The initiative focuses on skills development, mentorship, networking tools, and advocacy to ensure every veteran can thrive in the workforce.
